IMPRESSIVE EXPRESSIVENESS

The EP kicks off with a subtle short lick boasting the staggering intro that grabs your attention immediately, setting the tone for what’s to come. Dani Hart, who is from Chile and now based in Belgium, immediately displays her vocal prowess. She proves a force to be reckoned with. Her delivery is powerful and emotive, perfectly complementing the dynamic instrumentation. There’s a raw edge with raspy accolades injecting contemporary range while her pitches are clean and high. Injecting her Latin-American swing, she side-shifts in the hard rocking genre, touching soul with an impressive expressiveness that takes the songs to a higher level. The song resonates with heavy riffs and licks over which Dani’s vocals shine radiantly.

Underlining her invigorating vocal stance, she wails ,,After I’m Gone” into action, belting out heartfelt sorrow and agony. The growling bass drones in the lows with drums subtle and jazzy. The slow mover warps you into a 20’s smoky jazz-noir club with Hart crooning and smoking, as the guitar pitches up into a weeping solo.

BILLY SHEEHAN

An absolute apotheosis is the high paced ,,No More” with Billy Sheehan on bass. Aligning his high velocity chordal playing, the guitar licks’ extended and you see the guitarist propelling is arms in Townsend style. There’s a wave of nostalgic Kiss ,,Detroit Rock City” whelming over the guitar strokes. The pre-solo break is a highlight, building tension before unleashing an explosive solo that leaves a lasting impression. Countering into Hart’s piercing vocals, it adds volumes and even a tongue-in-cheek lick reminiscent to Vai’s ,,Yankee Rose” segment is present.

,,Millennial Tribe” is a moaning mid paced growler with tasteful instrumentation and intricate lows. Dani’s vocals are colorful and radiant, adding to the gloomy soul appeal of the song. The piercing solo midway is dazzling and the song’s outro solo and chorus are equally memorable, sticking in your head long after the final note fades.
