‘Delirium’ is not simply Lacuna Coils eighth studioalbum, it is rather the kickstart of a new beginning. The time after the previous album ‘Broken Crown Halo’ has not been easy for the Italian sensation. Drummer Cristiano ”CriZ“ Mozzatti and guitar section Cristiano ”Pizza“ Migliore and Marco ”Maus“ Biazzi all decided to leave / retire from the band due to personal reasons, leaving Marco Coti-Zelati, Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro to basically form a new band. Nevertheless, they made it and went to the studio to record ‘Delirium’, the heaviest album they ever created. Even though they have new band members on board, Lacuna Coil stands for their trade mark sound and delivers what the fans expect. The vocal mix of Andrea and Cristina is perfect and amazing as always. This is not a delirium, this is an adrenaline kick and definitely a brand new start into the future even though it feels like going back to the roots, even with producing the whole album back home in Italy. The new born energy already is unleashed on stage in 2016.
